United Group CEO’s security guards detain N1 reporter

Repoter Ana Novakovic approached the UG CEO at the hotel’s dinning room to ask him for a comment on reports of his meetings with the state-controlled Telekom Serbia to discuss the dismissal of United Media CEO Aleksandra Subotic at the demand of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, whose regime wants to shut down the N1 and Nova S independent TV stations and portals.

Novakovic and her cameraman were roughly manhandled by Miller's security guards and hotel staff, which called the police.

Miller is in Belgrade with United Group senior managers Ioannis Papatsikas, Libor Voščina, Janez Videmsek, Bernarda Trebusak Jecl and Janez Zivko. None of them reacted to the way the N1 crew were treated.
